PredMarkets Documentation

PredMarkets is an Avalanche prediction market app for short-duration BTC, ETH, and AVAX price markets. Markets settle through Conditional Tokens, while the current app experience uses a centralized CLOB for order entry.

Quick Start

  1. Connect an Avalanche wallet.
  2. Approve USDC the first time you trade on a deployment.
  3. Choose a BTC, ETH, or AVAX market.
  4. Buy or sell UP / DOWN with a market order or limit order.
  5. Optionally sign once to register a chat username.
  6. Claim winning positions after resolution.

Key Concepts

Epochs

Fixed market windows. BTC and ETH use 5-minute epochs; AVAX uses 1-hour epochs.

Conditional Tokens

ERC-1155 outcome positions that redeem to 1 USDC on the winning side and 0 on the losing side.

CLOB

The app posts signed orders into a central limit order book and fills takers against resting liquidity.

Strike Price

The opening price for the epoch. UP wins if the close is above the strike; otherwise DOWN wins.
